Lake Area Foundation Chairman Joe Walters recently presented Green River Ministries (GRM) a check for $1,000 from the Campbellsville/Taylor County Community Development Grant Fund. These funds will be used to help maintain the homeless shelter and its tenants. This includes everything from paying for utilities to buying paper products for shelter guests.

“As GRM promises to supply our Guests with Hope and Home, we completely stock each bedroom, the kitchenette, and the laundry room; thus, much of the allotted funding will be utilized in providing household paper products and hygiene supplies,” said Miranda Willis, CSW-Executive Director for GRM. Joe and Susan Walters established the Campbellsville/Taylor County Community Development Grant Fund through the Lake Area Foundation in 2015. The permanent, unrestricted endowment fund was set up in memory of Ralph and Laura Tesseneer, parents of Susan.
